California and large tunneling projects such as the new San Francisco water supply tunnel, the Los Angeles Metro-Rail subway and the City of Portland's Columbia Slough sewer tunnel. We have performed high resolution seismic surveys at large commercial and residential building sites to help locate active faulting in the upper 500 feet associated with major California fault systems, such as the San Andreas, Santa Monica, Owens Valley, Whittier, and Camarillo faults. We have also completed deep electrical resistivity profiling across desert basins in the eastern Mojave Desert to investigate groundwater resources.
We also perform smaller-scale GPR and multi-sensor geophysical surveys (using magnetic and electro- magnetic techniques) to locate near-surface cavities, buried pipelines, concrete structures, underground storage tanks, excavations, abandoned well casings, and other subsurface features. |
Company Profile Advanced Geoscience, Inc. is a Southern California-based consulting firm specializing in subsurface geophysical surveys for geological investigations, geotechnical and environmental studies, and exploration of natural resources. We also perform shallow underground surveys for pre-construction investigations, as well as the non-destructive evaluation of earth structures, such as dams, tunnels, and subsurface foundations. We are geophysicists and geologists who offer an innovative approach to solving subsurface problems, utilizing seismic and radar imaging, as well as other state-of-the-art geological and geophysical technology. We have a proven record for providing results on a timely basis. Since our firm was established in 1997, we have completed numerous successful geophysical surveys at sites throughout the Western United States. We have performed seismic surveys to investigate subsurface conditions for embankment dams in eastern
